Description
A glass art piece made in Bethlehem with stained or recycled glass.
The Giacaman family says this project takes its inspiration from Jesus. According to Him there is beauty in all things, even those we perceive to be worthless, and He brought new life into even the most hopeless circumstances.
The project originated during the Israeli military invasion of Bethlehem in 2002 when broken glass and rubble lay strewn across the streets. The strife at the time forced the poorest of the poor to find new means of sustenance. They picked up the glass from among the rubble and created beautiful art pieces for a meager income. These broken pieces resembled the brokenness of our world; and they were renewed just as we are in Christ.
