This nativity scene shows the Christ Child and his family in a Bedouin style tent. Therefore reminding us that much of his life and ministry was on the move–including his family’s flight to Egypt after his birth (Matthew 2:13-15).
The Bedouins of Palestine have become famous for their extraordinary survival skills in an extremely hostile environment. Especially for the disruptions to their nomadic way of life in recent years. Traditionally, they live in tents of goat hair.
