As the mother of a previous BBC staffer, Janette’s connections with the college now extend to exhibit her beautifully embroidered clothing and fabrics as well as stunning silver jewelry. Having been exposed to embroidery from a young age, Janette saw this skill as an opportunity to help struggling young Muslim and Christian women learn how to embroider as a means of income in the Bethlehem area. Janette promotes, encourages and motivates excellency in the production of the goods as she teaches these women how to embroider. As an extension of this work, BBC is pleased to feature the work of Janette and the women that work alongside her.
