This camel is carefully crafted from locally sourced olive wood. The statue is hand carved by a well-known master carver, Jeries Facouseh. He is a lifelong resident of Bethlehem and a second generation Christian statue master carver. Therefore his intricate sculptures are highly sought after in the Holy Land.
