OW Key ring - Camel

OW Key ring – Camel

$4.50

This beautiful key chain is handcrafted by Bethlehem’s local artisans according to the age-old Palestinian tradition of carving Olive Wood.
Camels are symbols of humility, willingness to serve and stubbornness. In medieval art and sculpture, the camel was used to represent humility and the willingness to bear another’s burden; largely because camels are trained to kneel down to receive heavy loads. Wearing this camel will serve as a reminder to remain humble and follow Apostle Paul’s call for Christians to carry each other’s burdens.
Due to the nature of the grain in Olive Wood each items is unique. The item you receive will not be identical to the picture you see. However we can guarantee that they will be very beautiful.

Description

In Palestine camels are used mostly by Bedouins, nomadic people of the desert. They are jokingly referred to as desert Ferraris. Camels can travel great distances across hot deserts with little food or water. They walk easily on soft sand where trucks would get stuck. They carry people and heavy loads to places that have no roads. Therefore wearing this brooch can be a great reminder of Jesus’ call to serve those who are struggling to survive in situations of need.
