Description
This beautiful carving combines two classic symbols of Christian faith. The Crosses proclaims the sacrificial, reconciliation love of God in the crucifixion of Jesus (Colossians 1:20). The fish not quite as well known but carries great meaning: In the early days of the church, persecuted Christians used the fish as a secret sign of their identity. The Greek letters spelling “fish” (ichthys) formed an acrostic for “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.”
Note: Due to the nature of olive wood and the individuality of the artisans and their processes, the product may differ slightly from the picture posted.
