Zaki Baboun is a Palestinian Christian artist. He paints beautiful Biblical scenes and has a knack for capturing the moments when "the hopes and fears of all the years are met" in Jesus Christ. He is known to work late into the night as Bethlehem lies still and "as silent stars go by."

Issa Musleh founded his fair-trade company, Gloria, to support local craftsmen by selling their handmade items. He does this to praise God the King and bring Peace to men on earth. Among his items are nativity sets depicting the moment when Christ is born of Mary and olive wood angels who keep their watch of wondering love.

They craft adorable Christmas nativity sets and sheep from felt to support their community; a place where the dear Christ enters in and meek souls receive Him still.

Creating beauty from waste

Through socially constructive initiatives like theirs, the Giacaman family is helping to bring the essence of Our Lord Emmanuel, the Holy Child of Bethlehem, back to this humble town. They started re-purposing broken window panes during the siege of Bethlehem in 2002. Now they use recycled bottles to make their signature ornaments.
